I passed my Category C test first time round last Wednesday. I trained with DAC Training in Rotherham. I can't fault them at all. I'd not driven for a long time before I commenced training and in less than a week they got me up to test standard. I plan to do my C+E training with them soon. They use full size lorries which have a four-over-four gearbox, which I got used to surprisingly quickly.
As Mr_Squirrel said, it's not an easy test to pass first time, but the right training certainly helps.

Roy's an absolute star, a real character and very helpful, upfront and honest. Give him a ring and have a general chat about things; he won't try and sell you anything you don't want or anything like that and he'll be able to advise you better than me and answer any further questions you have. Tell him Steve who passed last Wednesday recommended them to you on here. :thumbsup: I'm always on hand to help if I can too. There's no sharing the training vehicle with other students either there, everything's on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. The instructors are top-notch too I found!
